3 Carjackers Captured By Sheriff Victor Hill’s Elite B.A.T. Squad With Help From K-9 Coudy!

After collaborating together at a crime mapping meeting Wednesday, Police Chief Joseph Woodall & Sheriff Victor Hill agreed to place all of the Sheriff’s special forces in areas of the county where there is a spike in crime numbers.  In less than 48 hours the plan began to pay off!

Yesterday, a Sheriff’s Deputy was flagged down by a citizen who said two males and a female attempted to carjack his wife.  Ironically, the vehicle was a stick shift and none of the carjackers took drivers education, so they were unable to drive the vehicle away.   Deputies from Sheriff Victor Hill’s elite B.A.T.  ( Burglary~Auto-theft~Truancy) squad arrived on the scene and upon viewing the cameras at the victim’s home and recognized the female suspect as Kyra Brooks.

Deputies went to Brooks home and when they arrived a male juvenile suspect who is a known car thief ran out of the door and fled on foot.  K-9 Coudy responded to the scene and pick up the scent of the male juvenile and began to track him down. The scent led Coudy to a open garage and the rear door of a car where he began to bark fiercely.  Deputies open the door of the car and found the juvenile suspect laying down in the rear floorboard. This is K-9 Coudy’s 2nd tracking arrest his first week on the job!

The 3rd suspect involved identified as Doya Shorter was located at Brook’s residence and taken into custody as well.  The juvenile is in the detention center while Brooks and Shorter are facing the wall at Georgia’s toughest para-military jail.
