Dear Sherman School Community, 


Starting next week, the Board of Education and Administration will begin the formal 2018-2019 budget process. Following recent years’ practice, there will be a series of public workshops held over the next few months where the Administration will present - and the Board will deliberate on - specific topics. This will allow members of the public to attend those workshops that cover the topics most important to them, while gaining a deeper understanding. 

The Board would like to invite all members of the Sherman School parent and broader community to attend our first Budget Workshop on Monday, December 18, 2017 at 6:00 PM in the Multi-Purpose Room (note location change). 

Distinct from the topic-specific workshops that follow, this first workshop will engage stakeholders to contemplate how our overall 2018-2019 budget can best support our effort to operationalize our Vision.  We will begin by providing a high-level overview of the total budget, and will invite participants to provide input that they believe will best support our efforts between now and the Town referendum in the spring.

For your convenience, we have attached a copy of the Budget Timeline which lists all of the dates of upcoming Budget Workshops. You may also find this information on our website on the Year-at-a-Glance (here).
