As a result of damage to an electrical box, the Denville downtown business district will be illuminated with light towers this evening. 
Earlier today, a large truck struck and severely damaged the electrical box that powers the street lights in downtown Denville.
The Township is vigorously working with its electrician and JCP&L to ensure power is restored as quickly as possible. However, based upon the severity of the damage, we've been informed that the power will not be restored today.
The Township has placed several light towers on Broadway to illuminate the downtown business district to ensure pedestrian and motorist safety. Pedestrians and motorists are urged to use additional caution this evening in and around Broadway area.
