This morning (December 11, 2017) at approximately 10:13 am, Windsor Fire Department and Windsor Police deputies responded to the WorldMark Resort, located at 1251 Shiloh Rd, in Windsor for an unresponsive subject inside one of the guest rooms. It was reported to the Sheriff’s Dispatch center that a 24 year old female was unconscious and not breathing. When deputies arrived, they found the 24 year old San Francisco resident deceased in the hotel room. The female was staying in the room with her boyfriend, and at least 4 other people. The group of young adults live in the San Francisco area and had been staying at the WorldMark Resort this weekend. The group reported that they were staying at the resort this weekend while they attended the Emerald Cup Cannabis event that was held at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds. The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office Coroners unit was contacted and responded to the scene.
The 24 year old female was transported to the coroner’s office for further examination. Until further examination it will remain unclear if the female suffered from a medical issue; however, apart from her young age there was nothing else suspicious about her death, nor were there any signs of foul play.
The females name is not being released at this time pending notification of her family.
