Deputies arrest James Hicks & James Haney for possession and sales of narcotics during a probation compliance check

INCIDENT: Possession of Controlled Substance for Sales
LOCATION: 2000 block off Parkway St., Needles
SUSPECT: James Dean Hicks, 41 years old, resident of Needles
James Haney, 52 years old
SUMMARY:
On December 7, 2017, deputies from the Colorado River Station conducted a probation compliance check at the residence of James Hicks. Hicks is on felony probation, and per his terms of probation he is subject to search at any time. Upon arrival at Hicks' residence, a male adult was seen leaving the residence. The male adult, identified as James Haney was contacted by deputies and was found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine. Haney was cited and released from the scene. A subsequent search of Hicks' residence revealed Hicks was in possession of additional suspected methamphetamine and other items consistent with the sales of narcotics such as methamphetamine.
Hicks was arrested for possession of a controlled substance for sales and booked into Needles Jail. He is being held on a no bail probation hold.
