UPDATE 12-10-17:
A 21 year old male suspect and a 23 year old female suspect have been taken into custody, and evidence linking them to the death of the female victim in this incident has been recovered.

The victim autopsy is still ongoing and investigators continue to actively investigate the incident.

Additional updates and information will be provided at the press conference on Monday, December 11th at 11am.

On 12-09-17 at approximately 4:44pm Janesville officers were dispatched 426 S. River St. for a 43 year old female who was found deceased inside the home. Janesville detectives and evidence personnel also responded to the scene. A search warrant was executed at the residence and evidence was collected from the scene. The victim’s death appears suspicious and is being treated as a homicide however, we do not believe there is an imminent threat to public safety.

An autopsy is scheduled for 12-10-17 at 8:30am. At this time the investigation is ongoing. In order to maintain the integrity of the investigation no additional information will be released at this time.

The Janesville Police Department will hold a press conference on Monday, December 11th at 11am at which time additional information will be provided.
