On 12/10/17 at 1:13 A.M., officers of the Janesville Police Department were sent to the report of a Robbery at the intersection of N. Parker Dr. and E. Milwaukee St. The victim reported being stopped at a stop light when their vehicle was approached by the suspect. During the interaction, the suspect reached into the victim’s vehicle and grabbed the victim’s wallet off of their lap. The suspect then fled on foot.
The victim provided a suspect description and officers began checking the area. Simultaneously, a K9 was utilized to track the suspect. Officers located the suspect, who matched the description given by the victim, near the intersection of E. Milwaukee St. and N. Atwood Ave.
The suspect consented to a search of their person and was found to be in possession of property belonging to the victim. The K9 track led directly to the suspect. Additional property belonging to the victim was found in the suspect’s immediate area.
The suspect was subsequently arrested and taken to the Rock County Jail where he was held for his initial court appearance.
