Westbound 118 Freeway closed at Yosemite due to brush Fire 
The Westbound 118 Freeway was temporarily closed due to a small brush fire near the Westbound off-ramp. The fire is contained and according to the Ventura County Fire Department it currently poses no risk to homes in the area. Traffic from the Westbound 118 was being diverted at Yosemite Ave. and residents should avoid the area due to traffic congestion. The freeway has been re-opened, but the Ventura Fire Department is still on the scene mopping up.
The back-up on the 118 is also causing congestion on surface streets such as Los Angeles Ave., Kuehner Dr., Alamo St. and Yosemite Ave.
