Post-Release Accountability and Corrections Team (PACT) compliance checks in San Jacinto and surrounding areas press release

On December 7, 2017, the San Jacinto Police Department in conjunction with the Post-Release Accountability and Corrections Team (PACT), conducted compliance checks of subjects on Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS), as well as subjects who are on mandatory supervision. The compliance teams consisted of personnel from the Central PACT Task Force, Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, Riverside County Regional Gang Task Force, Riverside County Probation Department, Riverside Auto Theft Interdiction Detail (RAID), Murrieta Police Department Special Enforcement Team, Beaumont Police Department Multi Enforcement Team, Hemet Police Crime Suppression Unit, Sexual Assault Felony Enforcement (SAFE) Team, Riverside County District Attorney Gang Intelligence Task Force, San Jacinto Police Investigations Bureau, California Highway Patrol, California Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation Special Services Unit, Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), U.S. Border Patrol, Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI), among other local and state partners. The compliance checks were conducted in the cities of Hemet and San Jacinto, and the surrounding communities in the unincorporated county area.

A total of ninety-two searches were conducted. The following subjects were arrested and booked into the Riverside County jail, located in the city of Banning, for the listed charges:
##20-year-old, Steven Kirkwood of Hemet: Violation of Parole
##22-year-old, Christian Alvarez of Hemet: Violation of PRCS terms
##27-year-old, Gerardo Gonzalez of San Jacinto: Possession of narcotics for sale while armed with a stolen firearm
##38-year-old, Martin Esparza of Perris: PRCS Probation violation and possession of methamphetamine
##32-year-old, Stephanie Peterson of San Jacinto: Violation of PRCD terms, possession of weapons and being in possession of an incendiary device
##32-year-old, Gabriel Vera of Hemet: Felony identity theft warrant
##33-year old, Rasheed Amad Poon of Hemet: PRCS Probation violation warrant
##38-year-old, Tawny Garcia of Menifee: Unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of methamphetamine
##47-year-old George Garcia of San Jacinto: Resisting arrest, Parole violation warrant, possession of unlawful weapons and possession of methamphetamine for sales

Drugs, drug paraphernalia, four firearms, numerous other weapons, and fraudulently possessed ID cards were recovered. The operation revealed additional evidence into other investigations in which several future arrests are anticipated.
