The Jonesboro Police Department did an excellent job yesterday with the mission to keep criminals unarmed and stranded in Clayton County. 

Upon getting a hit on a stolen vehicle, Sgt. Cato began following a stolen vehicle occupied by 3 males until it suddenly took off.  Sgt Cato pursued the vehicle with other Jonesboro Officers while the Sheriff’s Office joined in to assist.   The suspects ended up crashing into a building and fleeing the vehicle while one of them dropped a pistol as he was running away.   Sheriff’s Deputies and Jonesboro Officers were successful in capturing all 3 suspects and two more pistols were found in the stolen auto.  All three pictured below are now facing the wall at Georgia’s toughest para-military jail.

Targeting stolen cars and guns is the key to crime reduction since these are the tools criminals use to rape, rob and murder.   It is unknown who these suspects could have robbed, injured, or kill if it had not been for the stellar police work of Sgt. Cato of Jonesboro Police.

Sheriff Victor Hill while on a crusade to surgically remove gun carrying car thieves from Clayton County will be asking Judges and Prosecutors for maximum punishment on them all.
