The Burlington Township Police Department would like to advise residents to two recent scams. On Thursday, December 8, 2017 a skimming device was placed on the ATM machine located at Beneficial Bank, 3 Sunset Road. No accounts were compromised as a result of this skimming device. Residents should take a moment and visually inspect the ATM machine when using older ATM machines. If there if anything suspicious about the exterior of the machine contact the police department.
Secondly, there is another phone scam going around in which the scammer poses to be a family member in financial trouble; needing money for bail. The scammers typically contact the elderly residents reporting to be their grandchild. This is a scam please do not entertain these phone calls.
