Shortly after a Clinton police detective was shot in both arms, a suspect was apprehended. Alfonso Rios (d.o.b. 4/1/1976) is now behind bars for that shooting. The detective was searching for him based on an arrest warrant. During a traffic stop by the detective at 3rd & Hayes, Rios began shooting at the detective. He was taken to a nearby hospital for what appears to be non-life threatening injuries.
