The Newark Police Department is releasing information about recent crime and police activity that has occurred within our community. 
December 6th
0825 Hours: Officer Mapes contacted and arrested a 48-year-old Newark male for possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia on the 7700 block of Arrowhead Place. The suspect was issued a citation and released.
0913 Hours: Officer Mapes contacted and arrested a 25-year-old Los Angeles female for her outstanding warrants on the 5600 block of Thornton Avenue. The suspect was issued a citation and released.
0954 Hours: Officer Piquette and Field Training Officer Allum investigated a multi -vehicle injury accident on Thornton Avenue at Cedar Boulevard. The injured parties were transported to area hospitals for treatment.
2133 Hours: Officers responded to a disturbance on the 37400 block of Cherry Street. Officer D. Johnson contacted and arrested a 57-year-old transient female for public intoxication. The suspect was booked into the Santa Rita Jail.
