Fatal Hit and Run Collision Investigation at E. Warren Ave and Bradley St.
Today at 5:37 pm, a 911 call was received regarding a person down in the roadway in the Warm Springs area. Fremont Police Officers and Fire Paramedics were immediately dispatched to the area of E. Warren Ave and Bradley St. The responding officers found a human body and vehicle debris in the roadway. The person in the roadway had several visible injuries and was pronounced deceased by Fremont Fire.
Additional officers responded to assist. During an area check for the involved car and driver, patrol officers found an unoccupied vehicle parked in the Franciscan Shopping Center (Mission Blvd/Warm Springs), with major front end damage. The involved driver was also located in the area and was detained. The driver is currently being interviewed. It is unknown at this time if drugs and alcohol are a factor. Traffic Officers are investigating this tragic incident as a hit and run fatal collision.
We will not have any additional information on the deceased, including a confirmation of gender, until the Alameda County Coroner responds to the scene.
