A reminder that Southern California Edison (SCE) will begin a construction project on Rosecrans Avenue west of Sepulveda Boulevard on December 11, 2017 and work is expected to continue until February 2018. The project will likely cause traffic delays and motorists are advised to avoid the area during impacted hours.
Please be advised of the following construction alert for the the project:
• From Dec. 11-15, work will begin on Rosecrans Avenue., just west of Sepulveda Blvd. Work hours and lane closures are scheduled from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
• While efforts have been taken to reduce the impacts of this project, traffic will be affected on Rosecrans Avenue and Sepulveda Boulevard.
• From 7 a.m.-9 a.m., all of eastbound Rosecrans Avenue and north turn lanes will be open, and one lane westbound on Rosecrans Avenue will remain open.
• At 9 a.m., Rosecrans Avenue will be reduced to one lane in each direction. Los Angeles County Sheriff personnel will be stationed at the intersection of Rosecrans Avenue & Sepulveda Boulevard for traffic control.
In some cases, large equipment such as cranes may be used. Please remain at a safe distance. There may be noise associated with construction activities. To ensure your safety during construction, there will be traffic lane and sidewalk closures. Crew members will use appropriate traffic control signs and flags. Please exercise caution when approaching a work area due to the presence of equipment and personnel.
