High Wind Warning until 04:00PM Friday

...Periods of moderate to strong Santa Ana winds through Friday with isolated wind damage possible... .Strong high pressure over the Great Basin will bring periods of moderate to strong Santa Ana winds through Friday. While the strongest winds will weaken some tonight into Wednesday, a period of very strong and widespread winds is expected to occur late Wednesday night and Thursday. Strong winds will continue into Friday but will very slowly weaken late Friday through the weekend. ...HIGH WIND WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM PST FRIDAY...

* Winds...Areas of northeast winds 25 to 35 mph with gusts to 55 mph. Isolated gusts 65 to 90 mph likely late Wednesday night and Thursday.

* Timing...While winds will occasionally be strong through Friday, the strongest and most widespread winds are expected late Wednesday night through Thursday.

* Location...The strongest gusts will be below the Cajon Pass, and along the coastal slopes of the Santa Ana Mountains into adjacent portions of inland Orange County and the San Diego County canyons and foothills late Wednesday night and Thursday.

* Impacts...A High Wind Warning means damaging high winds are likely. During the periods of stronger winds...there could be power outages and damaged or toppled trees. Travel will be hazardous in high profile vehicles. Secure loose objects such as patio furniture and holiday decorations.

* Outlook...Winds will gradually weaken Saturday and Sunday.
