#LASD SEB Barricaded Suspect Arrested, 18600 blk Arrow Highway, unincorp Covina

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB) has concluded their tactical response regarding the barricaded suspect at the 18600 block of Arrow Highway, unincorporated Covina.

SEB deputies learned that on Monday, December 4, 2017, San Dimas Station personnel were serving an arrest warrant for Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Vandalism at the location when the suspect refused to come out of his apartment.

After several hours and many verbal attempts by LASD Crisis Negotiations Team members to persuade the suspect’s surrender, he refused to comply. SEB deputies successfully deployed tear gas and the suspect, 25-year-old Kevin Harmon, surrendered to deputies without further incident.

The area was deemed safe and all neighborhood evacuees were allowed to return to their homes.

Harmon was arrested and transported to San Dimas Station for booking.

No deputies were injured.
