DUI Driver crashes more than once

On Sunday night 12/3/2017 at around 8:20 PM Windsor Police deputies responded to the area of Los Amigos Rd and Arata Ln, in Windsor, for a vehicle accident.  Upon arrival, deputies found a white colored 2000 Ford Expedition had crashed into the street light pole at the bottom of the US Hwy 101 off ramp at Arata Ln.  The driver of the Ford Expedition, and solo occupant, was identified as 53 year old Larkfield resident Glenn Getchell.  Deputies determined that Getchell was involved in another vehicle collision prior, involving another light pole, at the intersection of Old Redwood Hwy and Windsor Rd, in Windsor.  While deputies were on scene, they smelled the odor of alcohol on Getchell.   Getchell was determined to have a blood alcohol level of 0.23 BAC at the scene.  Getchell sustained injuries from the collision and was subsequently transported by ambulance to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital.  Getchell was subsequently arrested for 23152 (a) VC and 23152 (b) VC - DUI, and 20002 (a) VC – Hit and run.  Due to Getchell’s medical condition, he was cite released at the hospital.   If you have any further information regarding this case, please contact the Windsor Police Department at 707-838-1234.
