Strongest winds are expected Monday night into Tuesday and Wednesday night into Thursday. Areas of wind damage possible especially below the Cajon Pass Monday night into Tuesday. A cold and dry airmass will also bring freezing temperatures to the Mojave Desert tonight and Monday night. ...HIGH WIND WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 3 AM MONDAY TO 4 PM PST THURSDAY... The National Weather Service in San Diego has issued a High Wind Warning...which is in effect from 3 AM Monday to 4 PM PST Thursday. The High Wind Watch is no longer in effect.

* Winds...Areas of northeast winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts 45 to 65 mph. Isolated gusts to 80 mph possible on Tuesday.

* Timing...Winds will begin late tonight and continue through Thursday evening. Strongest winds are anticipated Monday night into Tuesday.

* Location...Strongest gusts will be below the Cajon Pass, and along the coastal slopes of the Santa Ana Mountains into inland Orange County. Impacts likely in Ontario, Fontana, Rialto, Rancho Cucamonga, Lake Forest and Tustin and along portions of Interstates 10, 15, and 215, Highways 66 and 210 below the Cajon Pass and along Highway 241 in Orange County.

* Impacts...A High Wind Warning means a damaging high wind event is expected. Secure loose objects such as patio furniture and holiday decorations before the winds begin late tonight. During the periods of stronger winds Tuesday there could be power outages and damaged/toppled trees. Travel will be hazardous in high profile vehicles.

* Outlook...Though Santa Ana Winds should continue after Tuesday, they are expected to fall below hazardous levels.
