Full Notification

At approximately 505 pm this evening Vigo County Central dispatch received multiple calls of a person shot in the 4200 block of South 5^th Street in the International Village Apartments.  Deputies arrived three (3) minutes later to find a W/M 42 years of age, who also lived in the complex had been shot and was transported to Terre Haute Regional Hospital, were he was pronounced dead a short time later in the emergency department.  The victim information is being withheld pending notification of family, but will be released at a later time.  The investigation has resulted in the arrest of Tristin G. Spencer, 22, of 4275 S. 5^th ½ Street Terre Haute.
Spencer has been preliminary charged with Voluntary Manslaughter a Level 2 felony and is currently being held in the Vigo County Jail without bond. Further details of the incident will be released at a later time but investigators believe the suspect and victim were the only persons involved, and there were witnesses to the incident. 
Spencer will appear in Vigo County Court on Friday.  An autopsy will be performed tomorrow as well.
