Coachella burglary/assault arrest

Details:
On July 9, 2017, about 10:00 p.m., Coachella Police responded to a burglary and assault with a firearm that occurred in the 48-100 block of La Playa Street, Coachella. The suspects fled the location prior to officer’s arrival and were not located. Thermal Station Investigations responded and assumed control of the incident.

Through the course of the investigation, Christopher Reyes, age 24 of Thousand Palms, was identified as a suspect. On Thursday, November 30, 2017, about 9:00 a.m., Reyes was arrested in the 46-200 block of Highway 111, Indio. Thermal Station Investigators and deputies from Riverside County Sheriff’s Special Enforcement Bureau served a search warrant at his residence located in the 30-600 block of Monte Vista, Thousand Palms.

Reyes was booked into Riverside County Jail, in Indio, for attempt murder, robbery, burglary and committing a felony while on bail. Additionally, Bianca Leal, age 22 of Thousand Palms was arrested for accessory, for her involvement in this case.
