Officers are investigating an attempted Wednesday-night robbery in Eagle River

At 8:30 PM on Wednesday, November 29, 2017, Anchorage Police responded to the Great Alaska Pizza Company in Eagle River reference an attempted armed robbery.  According to witnesses, two suspects entered the business and demanded money.  The black male suspect held a handgun at one of the employees who was on the phone near the cash register.  The white male suspect, who did not produce a weapon, went into the back kitchen area and ordered a second employee to go out front to get money from the cash register.  The white suspect pushed the employee to make him walk faster.

Prior to receiving any money, both suspects ran out of the front door.  A few seconds after they exited, employees heard a loud bang that they thought may have been a gunshot.  Officers did locate a single shell casing on the sidewalk approximately 30 feet from the front entrance.  There were no injuries and nothing was taken.

Officers set up a perimeter, and a K9 track was conducted, but the suspects were not located.  Both suspects had their faces covered.  The black male suspect was approximately 5’7” - 5’9” tall, skinny, in his 20s, wearing all dark clothing.  The white suspect male was described as being in his 20s, 6’0” tall, skinny build, wearing dark clothing.
