The Bethlehem Township Police and the Citizens Police Academy Class invite the community to attend this FREE informational night on domestic violence and agency resources. This evening is open to anyone wanting to learn more about abuse and how to help victims in the community. Come join us for an evening of information.
It isn’t one incident of physical violence; it’s a pattern of controlling and manipulative behavior that can have verbal, emotional, and sexual facets. Abusers often have functional relationships at work, church, and school; victims know how to put on a good face in public.
When domestic violence survivors need help most, they reach out to their friends and families first. With the support of educated and empathetic peers, survivors of violence can reduce their isolation, connect to resources and increase their safety.
The upfront goal of our presentations is to make people aware that there is a hotline, shelter, and legal assistance should they or someone they know ever need it.
The Bethlehem Township Police want people to understand that abuse can happen to anyone, know what the warning signs are, and know that we are here to help.
Education and prevention are essential tools in the effort to end violence in our communities.
