TRAFFIC ADVISORY - Re-Surfacing of Broadway Eastbound

New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) officials today announced the start of a maintenance resurfacing project on Route 4 that will require ramp and lane closures between Fair Lawn and Paramus in Bergen County.

Beginning tonight, Monday, November 27, from 10:00 p.m. until 5:00 a.m. the next morning, and continuing each night this week through Friday, December 1, NJDOT’s contractor, Schifano Construction Corp., is scheduled to close a single lane on Broadway beginning at approximately 37th Street and East Amsterdam Avenue through a half-mile east of the Forest Avenue interchange in Paramus to mill and pave ramps, acceleration and deceleration lanes over a 2.7-mile stretch of the roadway.

At least one lane will be maintained throughout construction. The mainline was paved earlier this year. Ramps will be closed and detoured to the next available exit as necessary. The work is being done overnight to minimize disruptions to traffic and businesses through this busy corridor.
