Traffic stop leads to arrest of Owensboro man. 
On November 26, 2017, at 6:16 p.m. Deputy U.B. Smith conducted a traffic stop on a White 2007 Toyota passenger for failing to signal a lane change on US 41 near the Kings Mine exit. Upon approaching the vehicle Deputy Smith identified the driver as 36 year old Derondi Jackson of Owensboro Kentucky. During the traffic stop Deputy Smith ran Mr. Jackson through the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles and discovered that Mr. Jackson was operating the vehicle while his driving status was listed as Suspended/Prior. At that point Deputy Smith placed Mr. Jackson into custody and transported him to the Gibson County Jail. Upon arriving at the Gibson County Jail Mr. Jackson was charged with Driving While Suspended/Prior. He has since posted a $650 bond.
All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
