**Update**
There has been continued investigation into the shooting incident at the Holiday Inn Express. Janesville Police Department investigators have been working on the whereabouts of Latoya Hill. Investigators gained information Hill was staying at 1243 Hackett St in Beloit, WI.
Janesville Police Department Street Crimes Unit coordinated efforts with the Beloit Police Department. On 11/26/2017 at around 12:20 PM Janesville Police Department Street Crimes surveillance units saw a vehicle leaving 1243 Hackett St. Beloit Police Department patrol units were able to get the vehicle stopped on Shirland Ave. just on the state of Illinois side of the state line.
Latoya Hill was a passenger in the vehicle. Hill was taken into custody without incident. South Beloit Police Department responded for transport of Hill to the Winnebago County jail. Hill will be held there awaiting extradition to the Rock County Jail in Wisconsin. There is still further investigation into this matter.

Pursuant to the directive of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, as found in Supreme Court Rule 20:3:6 Trial Publicity, you are advised that a charge is merely an accusation and that a defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
On 11-21-2017 at approximately 9:00 pm Officers from The Janesville Police Department responded to a shots fired complaint at The Holiday Inn Express. We received multiple calls from people and businesses in the area. Officers responded to the location with the understanding that someone inside the hotel fired a handgun, and was still at large.
Officers from The Janesville Police Department and The Rock County Sheriff’s Office secured the building. The officers immediately located three of the four subjects involved in the incident, along with a firearm that was left at the scene. The fourth person involved, Latoya L.N. Hill, fled the area before officer arrival.
Investigators have identified Latoya Hill as the shooter in the incident. We are currently seeking Latoya L. N. Hill for armed robbery and first degree attempted homicide. She was last seen leaving The Holiday Inn Express in a red Chevrolet Monte Carlo. If you have information regarding her location, please call the Janesville Police Department at 608-755-3100.
