SUBJECT OF RELEASE: ATV/Personnel Injury Crash

Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to an ATV/Personnel Injury crash at approximately 6:36 PM on Monday, November 20, 2017 on Kickland Road near Monroe Road. The crash was discovered when family members began to look for the ATV driver as he was late to arrive at his destination.
The investigation revealed that a 51 year old Greenville man was travelling west on Kickland Road on a Suzuki four wheeled ATV. It is not known at this time what caused the ATV to overturn. The driver sustained significant facial injuries and was flown to Spectrum in Grand Rapids by Aeromed.
The driver was not wearing a helmet and alcohol may have played a roll in the accident.
Montcalm County Emergency Medical Services assisted at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
