UPDATE: Murder suspect Justin Cox is now in custody!
At approximately 8:30 PM a joint task force made up of the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force, Cobb County Sheriff’s Office Fugitive Unit and the Atlanta Police Department apprehended Justin Cox. The task force reported that Cox was located at 2100 Campbellton Road in Atlanta Georgia and was taken into custody without incident.
Special thanks to everyone involved in the capture of this armed and dangerous fugitive, including all the media outlets that kept pressure on Cox as he tried to leave Cobb County.

Domestic Dispute, Murder
At approximately 4:00 PM earlier today 911 dispatch advised they received multiple calls regarding gun shots heard near Pin Oak Court. As officers responded, multiple other calls to 911 described a black male running from a home in the Cul-De-Sac of Pin Oak Court.
When officers arrived, they located (34) year old Ms. Felicia Miller, who was sitting in a parked 2007 Dodge Charger in the driveway of 354 Pin Oak Court. Ms. Miller had multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to Kennestone Hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.
Witnesses identified the shooter as (40) year old Mr. Justin Cox. Mr. Cox is believed to still be armed with a handgun and is not yet in custody. A warrant has been secured for his arrest charging him with Homicide Murder, Possession of a firearm during a crime and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Anyone with information relating to this incident or the whereabouts of Mr. Cox is urged to contact Detective Sheffield with the Marietta Police Department at 770-794-5345. If you see Mr. Cox, call 911 immediately and do not approach him as he is considered armed and dangerous.
