#LASD *UPDATE* Homicide Bureau Dets Investigating a Murder occrd @ 5700 Blk. Ben Alder, Whittier
Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau detectives are continuing their investigating into what they are deeming a suspicious death investigation, of a male Black adult 53 years of age that occurred near the 5700 block of Ben Alder Avenue, Unincorporated area of Whittier on Thursday, November 16, 2017, at approximately 7:47 P.M. hours.
Investigators have learned on November 16, 2017, deputies from Pico Rivera Sheriff’s Station responded to a family disturbance and possible assault call. Upon their arrival deputies discovered there was a minor physical altercation between the victim and a family member at the residence. When deputies were speaking to the victim, the victim began to feel ill and complained of pain to his legs. The victim was then transported to a local hospital.
On Friday, November 17, 2017 at approximately 1 P.M., the victim was pronounced dead. The victim is described as a male Black, 53 years of age. The cause of death is unknown at this time, pending the autopsy report from the coroner’s office.
There is no additional information at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
