SUMMARY:

On Thursday, November 17, 2017, at 11:17pm, Sergeant Sean Struebing from the Victor Valley Sheriff’s Station was approached by a customer at Circle K, located on the corner of State Highway 18 and Mondamon Road, in Apple Valley. The customer had a panicked look on his face and said he had just witnessed a white male adult, who appeared to be under the influence of drugs, enter the business with a handgun in a holster. He then watched the subject leave the store, enter a gray jeep with black rims, and drive westbound on Taloga Road.

Sergeant Struebing immediately started looking for the vehicle and located it in the area of Lasota Road and Owatonna. He activated his overhead lights and the driver of the vehicle pulled over. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Matthew Ethan DiFalco, was found to have a pellet gun in the holster on his side. During a search of the vehicle, Methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and stolen credit cards were located. When deputies contacted the owner of the credit cards, they learned the victim’s mail had been stolen sometime between November 14, 2017, and November 16, 2017, from their residence in the town of Apple Valley.

Matthew Ethan DiFalco was arrested and booked at the High Desert Detention Center. He is currently being held in lieu of $35,000.00 bail. A passenger in the vehicle, Debra Ann Joseph, was arrested for warrants.
