Today We Remember ESPD Officer Robert Grow Who Was Killed In The Line of Duty on November 17, 1935
On November 17, 1935, El Segundo Police Officer Robert “Bob” Clarence Grow was struck and killed by a vehicle while directing traffic at Mariposa Avenue and Sepulveda Boulevard. He had only been with our department for five months.
One of the four stars on our shoulder patch, patrol cars and City seal represents Officer Robert Grow’s death in the line of duty. Please vow to never forget and honor those that have made the ultimate sacrifice serving our community.
