Newark Firefighters Extinguish Early-Morning Fire In Two Vacant Buildings Today 
Newark Public Safety Director Anthony F. Ambrose reports that firefighters extinguished a two-alarm fire at 710 Summer Avenue today.
At approximately 1:34 a.m., some 65 firefighters responded to the fire, involving two vacant, wood frame residential buildings. The fire originated at 710 Summer Avenue and extended to 712 Summer Avenue.
The fire was placed under control at 2:09 a.m. with no reported injuries.
The exact cause of the fire is being investigated by the Arson Unit of the Newark Fire Division.
