Recent Property Incidents in Anacortes

On Tuesday morning, just before 3AM, APD Officers were dispatched to the 3300 block of F Avenue per the report of a home invasion burglary that occurred a few minutes prior. A small amount of electronics, small tools, and financial documents were stolen in this incident. Officers searched the area extensively but were unable to locate the suspects. Just before noon on Tuesday, APD Officers were advised of another home that was entered during the night on F Avenue. There were several items moved around in the home but the home owner did not notice any items missing. An unattached garage was entered on the 1100 block of G Avenue earlier in the week as well and several hundred dollars’ worth of tools were taken. Due to the geographic and time proximity of these cases, they are thought to be related.

In addition to the burglaries, eight vehicle prowls have been reported since Tuesday on the east side of town. It is unknown if these are related to the burglary cases.

These incidents serve as a reminder of the importance of locking your doors and remaining vigilant in keeping your homes and property safe.
