The Newark Police Department is releasing information about recent crime and police activity that has occurred within our community.

November 15th

0841 Hours: Officers Knutson and Heckman responded to the 6400 block of Buena Vista to investigate multiple garages being broken into.

0923 Hours: Officer Rivas investigated an auto burglary that occurred at the Comfort Inn, 5977 Mowry Avenue. Three large luggage bags were stolen.

1239 Hours: Officer Rivas responded to Forever 21, NewPark Mall to investigate an embezzlement case. Officer Rivas arrested a 20-year-old Fremont female for the embezzlement. The suspect was booked into the Fremont Jail.

1433 Hours: Officer Fredstrom contacted and arrested a 21-year-old Oakland male for his outstanding warrant on the Mowry Avenue overpass. The suspect was issued a citation and released at the scene.

1512 Hours: Officer Fredstrom investigated a theft from the T-Mobile store, 35020 Newark Boulevard. The loss is an iPhone 8, iPhone 8+ and an iPhone X.

1532 Hours: Officer Heckman contacted and arrested a 34 year old Newark male for possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and for having false registration on his motorcycle on Lake Boulevard at Edgewater Drive. The suspect was issued a citation and released at the scene. The motorcycle was towed from the scene.

1718 Hours: Officer Hunter investigated the theft of a black 2007 Yamaha Motorcycle (CA License #19B4972) on the 6200 block of Joaquin Murieta Avenue.

2311 Hours: Officer Lenz contacted and arrested a 39-year-old San Jose male for possession of drug paraphernalia during a traffic stop on Cedar Court. The suspect was booked into the Fremont Jail.
