Intermittent delays should be expected on Alvarado-Niles Rd. between Almaden Blvd. and Royal Ann Dr. due to ongoing signal light improvements.
Contractors will be working on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. The work is expected to last until mid-January 2018.
Delays may be caused by lane closures, which are necessary to safely complete construction. Some signal lights may be set to flash for limited durations during the switch over to the new traffic signal system.
Similar work will also occur at the intersection of Alvarado Blvd. and Dyer St.
Alternative routes such as Whipple Rd. and Decoto Rd. are suggested during the affected hours and days.
As a reminder, if you approach an intersection that has a flashing red signal or if the signals are completely out, the intersection should be treated as a 4 way stop.
