Deputies arrest Richard Leonard for two residential burglaries.

SUSPECT(S): Richard Ryan Leonard 19-year-old resident of Needles
VICTIM(S): CONFIDENTIAL
SUMMARY: On Tuesday, November 14, 2017, deputies from the Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department went to the 1200 block of Lillyhill Drive in Needles for a residential burglary. The homeowner discovered that an unknown subject tried to enter to the home's attached garage by kicking at the door. While in the neighborhood, Deputy Abell was approached by another homeowner reporting that their nearby home had been burglarized in the same manner.
Deputy Yates, who was assisting with the investigation, located Richard Leonard hiding near the victim's homes. Leonard ran from the deputies and led them on a foot pursuit to the visiting lobby area of the Colorado River Medical Center on Bailey Ave, he was found and arrested.
Deputies found evidence linking Leonard to the two burglaries. Leonard was booked at the Needles Jail for residential burglary. His bail was set at $25,000.
