The Newark Police Department is releasing information about recent crime and police activity that has occurred within our community.

November 14th

0855 Hours: Officer Allum responded to a three vehicle injury accident on Mowry Avenue and Apline Street. One driver was transported to a local hospital for treatment of their injuries.

1036 Hours: Officer Wang investigated an auto burglary on the 37100 block of Sycamore Drive. The loss is shoes and miscellaneous personal items.

1528 Hours: Officers Jackman and Wang responded to a disturbance on the 37900 block of Dahila Drive. Officer Jackman contacted and arrested a 24-year-old Newark male for battery. The suspect was booked into the Fremont Jail.

1637 Hours: Officer Hunter accepted the citizen’s arrest of a shoplifter at the Shell gas station, 6005 Jarvis Avenue. The suspect was booked into the Fremont Jail.

1923 Hours: Officer Cervantes investigated an auto burglary in the NewPark Mall parking lot. The loss is a Backpack, laptop and wallet.

2021 Hours: Officer Slavazza contacted and arrested a 21-year-old Redwood City male for his outstanding warrant during a routine traffic stop on Thornton Avenue at Olive Street. The suspect was booked into the Fremont Jail.

0215 Hours: Sergeant DeSerpa investigated a window smash vandalism on the 5900 block of Mowry Avenue.
