San Leandro Police Detectives investigate an auto burglary spree that occurred overnight
Between midnight and 1:00 a.m. last night, San Leandro Police officers responded to a series of auto burglaries that occurred between three locations in the west part of town.
A total of 12 vehicles were burglarized and all of them entered by shattering a window. Witnesses to these crimes provided some suspect information to police, describing a newer dark-colored Honda Civic with "angled" tail lights. The suspect vehicle also had paper plates that read "Victory."
Investigators ask that if you have any information regarding the above suspect vehicle or crimes to please call the San Leandro Police Department at 510-577-2740.
Remember, taking precautionary measures can minimize your chances of becoming the victim of a burglary. NEVER LEAVE VALUABLES IN PLAIN VIEW, even if your car is locked. Remove garage door openers, GPS, GPS dock, cell phone, power cords and change/money in the ashtray. In addition, never leave personal identification documents, such as the vehicle ownership title, insurance cards or credit cards in your vehicle.
