#016 Warrant Arrest and Obstructing/Resisting
At 12:09 p.m., Officer Tucker located a male riding a bicycle northbound on the sidewalk of Christy Street.  He was riding on the southbound side of the road, in violation of CS VC 21650.1 and FMC 10.10.040.  The male, a 31 year old Fremont resident was recognized as having two outstanding warrants for his arrest.  Officer Tucker activated his emergency lights to conduct a stop, but the male said no and rode quickly northbound.  Several additional officers were summoned to assist.  The 21 year old eventually dropped his bicycle and ran on foot between businesses and commercial lots in the area.  At about 1:28 p.m., Sgt. Magana located the suspect.  He was booked for the two warrants and obstructing/resisting.
 
#017 Residential Burglary Arrest
During the above search at about 12:40 p.m., an in-progress residential burglary occurred on Robin St.  Several units responded to the scene.  At a12:44 p.m., Sgt. Farmer located a suspect matching the description in a nearby parking lot.  The 28 year old adult male, Fremont resident was positively identified as the burglar.  Officer Franchi arrested the suspect for residential burglary and also found that he may be out of compliance for his annual sex registration. He was booked on charges of failing to register as a sex offender and burglary.
 
#031 Petty Theft from ULTA at the HUB
At 5:30 p.m., suspect went into ULTA at the Fremont Hub and stole nearly $600.00 worth of products.  The suspect was described as a Black male adult in his 20’s, 5’07”, with a shaved head and last seen wearing a black shirt with a design on it.  He was yelling for a black SUV (unknown make or model) to pick him up. Case investigated by Officer Vucurevich.
 
#043 Assault with a Deadly Weapon
At 10:40 p.m., officers responded to a large fight in the area of Royal Palm and Diamond Head.  What started as a mutual battery turned more serious when an involved party produced a handgun and pistol whipped the victim.  The suspect was described as a light skinned Black male adult, 20-25 years old with short hair wearing a “sailor style” beanie and camouflage jacket.  The suspect possibly fled in a white Subaru.  The victim sustained facial injuries and was treated at a local hospital.  The investigation remains ongoing.  Investigated by Officer Koehler.
 
#001 DUI Arrest
At 11:35 p.m., Officer O’Neal was in the area of Warm Springs Blvd and Kato Rd when he observed a vehicle stopped at the intersection in the left turn lane.  The vehicle did not move when the light turned green.  Officer O’Neal attempted to get the driver’s attention by honking his horn, but the vehicle did not move.  He exited his patrol vehicle and could see the male driver slumped over the in the seat. He was able to wake the dazed driver who was unsure of where he was.  After a field sobriety test and preliminary alcohol screening test (PAS), the 41 year old driver was arrested for DUI and booked at the Fremont Jail.
