Loaded firearm and narcotics found during traffic stop.

On November 13, 2017, Officer Bender conducted a traffic enforcement stop in the area of Blossom Ave. and Blossom Ct. Officer Bender made contact with the occupants, who were visibly nervous. They reached around the car’s interior nervously and had to be told by Officer Bender to stop moving around and keep their hands in view.

Other Fairfield police officers arrived to assist Officer Bender. The occupants of the car were removed and detained. K9 Officer Aagaard and his partner Ludo conducted a search of the car’s interior. Ludo alerted to the presence of narcotics in the car.

The search of the car yielded a loaded, concealed 9mm handgun and various suspected narcotics to include heroin, cocaine and Promethazine.

Arrested for possessing a loaded and concealed firearm was Julius Sweetwine, a 23yr old Fairfield resident. Cited for possession of narcotics and paraphernalia was Gottfried McWilliams Jr., a 28yr old Fairfield resident.
