Suspected Home Burglar Arrested
On Monday, November 13 at around 11:30 AM, El Segundo officers responded to a residence in the 400 block of Virginia Street regarding a residential burglary in progress. The suspect was found by the homeowner in her kitchen going through her cupboards. The subject appeared to have entered the home through an unlocked backdoor and fled the residence upon being discovered by the homeowner. He was described as a male black adult in his 20’s wearing hospital type scrubs. ESPD officers arrived in the area and located a suspect matching the description, attempting to open the front door of a second residence on Virginia Street. Fortunately, the door was locked and he could not enter the home. The suspect was detained and later arrested on suspicion of burglary and attempted burglary. The suspect is currently on probation for burglary and has a prior arrest record.
Suspect: Ayodeji Olukunle, age 31, 6-00, 209 lbs., resident of Los Angeles.
