911 call leads to the arrest of Somerville woman on numerous charges.
On November 9, 2017, at 2:47 a.m. Gibson County Central Dispatch received a 911 call from the 5000 block of South 1000 East near Somerville Indiana reporting a battery that had occurred. Upon arriving Deputy Ben Kiesel spoke with the victim and opened an investigation into the battery report. During the investigation 39 year old Tiffanie Payton-Carter of Somerville was taken into custody and transported to the Gibson County Jail. At the Gibson County Jail Ms. Carter was charged with Battery, Disorderly Conduct, and Resisting Law Enforcement. She remains in custody on a $550 bond.
Assisting officers included Deputy U.B. Smith and Jennifer Loesch of the Gibson County Sheriff’s Office. Also assisting in the booking process at the Jail was Princeton Officers Dan Goedde and Chelsea Jones.
All Criminal defendants are to be presumed innocent until, and unless proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
