Narrative:
Ventura County Sheriff’s Office arrests (S) Abdelkarim Abdelmajid for armed robbery and sexual
assault.
On November 7, 2017, at approximately 6:18 PM, deputies from the Camarillo Police Department
responded to the Days Inn for a report of an armed robbery and sexual battery. The initial
investigation revealed that Abdelmajid entered the victim’s hotel room and brandished a weapon
to sexually assault the victim. Abdelmajid then robbed the victim of personal property and fled
the scene.
Detectives from the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office located and arrested Abdelmajid a short
while later in the 20400 block of Ventura Boulevard in Woodland Hills. At the time of his arrest,
Abdelmajid was still in possession of the property he stole during the robbery. Abdelmajid was
booked into the Pre-Trial Detention Facility for one count of robbery and one count of felony
sexual battery. He is currently in custody with his bail set at $100,000.00 and he is scheduled for
arraignment in Ventura County Superior Court on November 13, 2017.
