Man Arrested for Illegal Firearm Possession

Fairfield Police arrested man for illegal possession of a firearm following a disturbance call Tuesday.  Officers responded to a trailer park in the 1400 Block of West Texas Street for a reported disturbance.  One of the involved people was 34 year old Ryan Albertsen.  Officers learned Albertsen had an outstanding misdemeanor warrant out of Contra Costa County.  The officers arrested Albertsen, but prior to taking him to the jail, he asked the officers to go into his trailer and grab his cell phone.  Officers went inside to get the phone and saw a significant amount of drug paraphernalia strewn about and a sawed off shotgun resting against a wall.  Albertsen had a restraining order against him and was forbidden from owning or possessing firearms.

The officers secured the residence and authored a search warrant for the trailer.  After getting the warrant signed by a judge, the officers retrieved the shotgun, ammunition, drug paraphernalia, and a small amount of narcotics.  Albertsen was booked into Solano County Jail for the warrant, possession of a sawed-off shotgun, possession of narcotics, and possession of narcotics while armed.
