On November 6th 2017 at approximately 12:10 AM Marietta Police Officers were dispatched to an anonymous tip about illegal drug activity near the intersection of Chicopee Drive and Cherokee Street. Upon arrival to the area a male was stopped and questioned for loitering in front of a closed medical facility. The investigation led to a vehicle parked in front of the residence at 198 Chicopee Drive.
Multiple officers on shift had been called to this address previously regarding an elderly woman resident who is known to suffer from Alzheimer’s. While checking on the elderly woman, multiple suspicious items appearing to be illegal narcotics were visible in plain sight. Several additional individuals were located inside the residence along with the suspected narcotics.
Search warrants were secured and (65) grams of methamphetamine were seized along with Heroin, marijuana and assorted drug paraphernalia.
