Winter roads are here! Roads are covered in snow & are slick. Give yourself extra room between cars & extra time to reach your destination.

From the APD Officers working hard and patrolling the snow covered streets of Anchorage all night, please drive carefully and give yourself extra time to get to your destination…

The Downtown/Fairview Officer advises the streets are covered in snow. Allow extra distance between you and the driver in front of you.

The Eagle River/Chugach Officer said roads are snow and slush covered. His advice is to take it slow.

The Eastside Officer said it’s slick, but it’s been worse and DOT is already out plowing and sanding.

The Midtown/West side Officer advised the streets are covered in snow. Not too slick if you drive appropriately for the conditions.

The South Anchorage Officer said the roads are very slick! Not a lot of accumulation, but enough I’m sliding when coming to a stop.

Stay safe everyone! Welcome to winter!
