Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau detectives are continuing to assist Baldwin Park Police Department with their investigation into the Officer-Involved-Shooting (OIS), which occurred on the 3100 block of Frazier Street at approximately 8:00 PM, Friday, November 3, 2017.
Detectives have learned that two Baldwin Park Police Officers, assigned to the gang unit, were travelling in a vehicle on the 3100 block of Frazier Street, when they recognized a male adult gang member walking on the sidewalk. As both officer’s attempted to contact the suspect, he brandished a shotgun and an Officer Involved Shooting occurred.
The suspect was struck by gunfire at least twice in the upper torso and transported to a local hospital. He is listed in unknown condition. A firearm was recovered at the scene.
Both officers were not injured during this incident.
There is no additional information at this time and the investigation is on-going.

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau detectives are responding to the 3100 block of Frazier Street, Baldwin Park to assist Baldwin Park Police Department investigate the circumstances surrounding an Officer-Involved shooting.
The suspect was transported to a local hospital and is listed in unknown condition.
No officers were injured.
