William Maggard of Needles arrested for passing counterfeit 20 dollar bills a warrant is issued for Denise Flurry

SUMMARY:
On October 31, 2017, Detectives from the Colorado River Sheriff’s Station and Needles Police began an investigation involving counterfeit twenty dollar bills being passed at several businesses in the City of Needles. Several suspects have been attempting to use these bills to make small purchases. William Maggard and Denise Flurry were identified as two of the suspects who passed and attempted to pass counterfeit currency at the Westside Chevron on October 30th. Deputies interviewed William Maggard on November 1st, he was subsequently arrested and booked into the Needles Jail for passing a counterfeit bill, and burglary. He is being held on $25,000.00 bail.
The Needles Police Department would like to caution local business owners to inspect all twenty dollars bills and to be aware that the fictitious twenty dollar bills have the words FOR MOTION PICTURE USE ONLY on the front and back.
An arrest warrant for Denise Flurry has been obtained and detectives are asking for the public's assistance in locating her. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Tim Preston at the Needles Station (760) 326-9200.
