A probation check leads to the arrest of a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition

LOCATION: 22000 block of Sioux Road, Apple Valley
SUSPECT(S): Ky A. Lattimore, 34 yrs
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On October 31, 2017, San Bernardino County Probation Officers conducted a routine probation check on Ky Lattimore. Lattimore is a convicted Felon, however was not in custody as per AB 109 and is on Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS). During the contact, Lattimore was found to possess a loaded handgun and numerous rounds of ammunition. Lattimore was arrested for being a Felon in possession of a handgun, Felon in possession of ammunition and Probation Violation. He was booked at the High Desert Detention Center with no bail.
The handgun recovered was not registered nor had it been reported as stolen. It is described as a Sig Sauer O.D. Green .45 Cal Semi Auto pistol.
