Information Wanted Regarding Hit and Run in North Amityville

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police First Squad detectives are seeking the public’s help in identifying and locating the driver of a vehicle that left the scene after striking a victim in North Amityville last month.

 

Rolando Hernandez was riding his bicycle southbound on Route 110 at Nathalie Avenue when he was struck by a southbound vehicle and seriously injured on September 24 at approximately 3:40 a.m. The vehicle fled the scene. The location of the incident is pictured below.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
